Job Summary
We are a Pediatric Dental Practice seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist/Insurance Coordinator to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly upon arrival, check them in and out efficiently, and manage appointment scheduling Curve software
Verify patient insurance coverage, explain benefits, and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures
Process insurance claims accurately, follow up on unpaid or denied claims, and ensure timely reimbursement using health insurance knowledge including CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 codes, and HIPAA compliance
Maintain organized medical records and ensure confidentiality according to clinical confidentiality policies
Assist patients with billing inquiries, collect payments, and perform medical collection activities as needed
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness to support clinical care plans and billing processes
Manage phone communication with patients, insurance companies, and vendors with professional phone etiquette
Requirements
Proven experience as a Receptionist or Insurance Coordinator within a dental or medical office setting
Strong knowledge of Curve, Dentrix or similar platforms
Familiarity with medical coding including CPT, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards for accurate billing and documentation review
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and 10-key typing skills
Ability to multi-task efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and strong phone etiquette
Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information
Prior clinic experience with dental or medical office management or administrative support is highly desirable

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
