Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, patient inquiries, and administrative tasks with efficiency and compassion. This role requires a strong understanding of dental office operations and excellent communication skills to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional front desk customer service in French and English
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software Exceldent.
Manage multi-line phone systems to handle patient inquiries and appointment requests
Verify patient insurance information and process billing using electronic medical records systems
Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all necessary forms are completed
Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate smooth daily operations and patient flow
Experience
Prior dental office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with dental terminology is a plus
Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) system such as Exceldent.
Office experience in a medical or healthcare setting is desirable
Proven ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities
Previous experience as a front desk receptionist or administrative assistant in a healthcare setting is beneficial
