Overview
Join our dynamic dental practice as a Part-Time Dental Receptionist and become one of the welcoming faces of our office! As a key member of our team, you will manage patient interactions, handle administrative tasks, and ensure office workflows. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. Prior knowledge/familiarity in a dental office is helpful but not required.
Preferred Hours:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 1pm until 5pm
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly and professional atmosphere
Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including insurance verification and eligibility checks
Collect payments and handle medical collections with accuracy and confidentiality
Manage phone systems with excellent phone etiquette
Maintain organized dental records and ensure proper documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate smooth daily operations and support front desk activities
Handle billing processes
Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining medical records
Ensure compliance with health information management standards and documentation accuracy
Requirements
Experience preferred in a dental or medical office environment, ideally as a dental receptionist or in healthcare administrative support
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD coding, CPT coding, and insurance processes helpful
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Meditech is highly preferred
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills (10 key typing)
Ability to manage phone systems with professionalism and courtesy
Experience with health information management standards such as HIPAA compliance
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and strong communication abilities
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks
Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives in a busy clinic setting
