Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office, providing exceptional patient service, and managing administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and medical office procedures, along with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations, including answering multi-line phone systems and scheduling appointments.
Verify patient insurance information and handle insurance verification processes.
Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation practices.
Process medical billing and coding.
Review care plans and assist in the intake process for new patients.
Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing health information management tasks.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, appointment reminders, and follow-up care.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and address any administrative needs that arise.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar medical office role is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology, CDT, and health insurance processes a plus
Strong computer skills with the ability to manage electronic medical records efficiently.
