Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Dental Receptionist/Social Media Coordinator to join our vibrant dental practice. This dual-role position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional patient service at the front desk while actively managing our social media presence to engage and grow our community. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in and check-out processes using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and handle billing procedures including medical collections and insurance claims
Maintain accurate dental records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
Manage incoming calls with professional phone etiquette, triage patient inquiries, and coordinate appointment scheduling across multi-line phone systems
Develop, implement, and monitor social media campaigns across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to promote the practice’s services and community events
Create engaging content including posts, images, videos, and patient testimonials to increase online engagement and brand awareness
Respond promptly to online comments or messages, fostering positive interactions with followers while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Requirements
Proven experience in a dental office setting or medical administrative support role with familiarity using practice management systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Meditech
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for procedures and diagnoses, as well as medical billing and collections processes
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (including 10-key), and social media platforms' content management tools
Ability to review medical documentation accurately while adhering to HIPAA guidelines for health information management
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette
Bilingual abilities are highly preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly desirable; familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, documentation review, and office management tasks
