Job Summary
Okanagan Dentistry is seeking a Full Time Dental Receptionist/Treatment Coordinator with great people skills and a positive attitude to join our team! We are an independently-owned dental clinic in the heart of Kelowna that is dedicated to delivering exceptional dental care with honesty and integrity. Our unique approach focuses on providing high-quality services in a comfortable, family-friendly environment.
The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Duties
Greet patients warmly upon arrival and check them in for their appointments.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using Power Practice
Pre-authorization to insurance companies for both treatment & hygiene appointments
Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, answer inquiries, and provide information about our services.
Process patient payments and handle billing inquiries with professionalism.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent service delivery.
Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information.
Skills
Proficiency in dental software system Power Practice preferred
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist/Treatment Coordinator preferred for easier transition and onboarding
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Ability to operate phone systems and manage multiple lines efficiently.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks.
Capability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
Familiarity with office procedures and administrative duties within a dental office environment is an asset.
We offer extended health and dental benefits, excellent above industry standard wages, yearly uniform allowance!
Pay: $26.00-$33.00 per hour
