Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dental team! In this role, you will be the friendly first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to check-out. Your expertise in dental administrative support, proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and excellent customer service skills will contribute to delivering exceptional patient care. Duties
Greet patients warmly and manage patient intake with professionalism and efficiency
Schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Open Dental ensuring optimal clinic flow
Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes
Collect payments for services provided
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in EMR systems while reviewing documentation for completeness
Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette and assist patients with inquiries or appointment rescheduling
Manage front desk operations including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized medical records and dental files
Support office management tasks such as coordinating care plans, reviewing documentation, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements
Prior clinic experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist within a dental clinic or healthcare setting ************is required**************
Prior clinic experience with dental insurance verification is preferred
Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing (10 key typing)
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and office etiquette
Ability to handle sensitive health information securely in compliance with HIPAA standards
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a busy dental environment
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding (ICD-10, CPT), and medical billing procedures
Preferred: Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
