Position: Dental Receptionist
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time
Location: Wakefield, MA
Reports to: Office Manager / Practice Owner
Key Responsibilities
Warmly greet and welcome patients, ensuring an outstanding first impression
Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments efficiently
Answer phones, emails, and patient inquiries with professionalism and care
Check patients in and out while verifying and updating insurance information
Collect payments and accurately process billing transactions
Maintain organized patient records in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure smooth daily operations
Follow up with patients regarding appointments and treatment plans
Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and reporting
Qualifications
No prior dental experience required — we are happy to train the right candidate
Customer service or front desk experience is a plus
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Comfortable learning new software (Open Dental experience is a bonus)
Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude
High school diploma or equivalent required
