Job Description
Dental Receptionist
We're looking for a warm, friendly, organized, and motivated Dental Receptionist to join our boutique dental hygiene clinic. You'll be the first point of contact for our patients, helping create an exceptional experience while keeping our front office running smoothly. We're looking for someone who is a fast learner, a team player, and passionate about providing outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities
Answer phones, emails, voicemail, and patient inquiries.
Welcome patients and manage check-in/check-out.
Schedule and confirm appointments using Curve Dental.
Update patient records, medical histories, and insurance information.
Process insurance claims, patient payments, and billing.
Handle insurance payments and maintain accurate financial records.
Collect outstanding balances and explain billing when needed.
Complete daily financial reconciliation and end-of-day reports.
Contact patients who are due for hygiene appointments or need to reschedule cancelled visits.
Maintain detailed patient communication notes and ensure confidentiality.
Support the dental hygiene team to keep the schedule running efficiently.
Qualifications
Dental or medical reception experience preferred.
Experience with Curve Dental is an asset.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and customer service.
Comfortable learning new systems and technology.
Positive attitude, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in healthcare administration is advantageous
