Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Secretary, where your organizational skills and friendly demeanor will be the heartbeat of our busy dental practice. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk while supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and manage the patient check-in and check-out process with professionalism and enthusiasm
Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentitek
Verify patient insurance information and process payments efficiently at the front desk
Maintain organized electronic records and ensure all patient documentation is up-to-date and compliant with privacy regulations
Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls to appropriate team members or departments
Assist with administrative duties including filing, faxing, scanning, and managing correspondence
Support clinical staff by preparing treatment rooms, managing supply inventory, and coordinating patient follow-up appointments
Experience
Prior experience working in a dental office or medical office environment is highly preferred
Familiarity with dental practice management software is a strong plus
Knowledge of medical terminology to accurately communicate with patients and staff
Proven ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining a friendly attitude
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing electronic records and scheduling tasks
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or administrative assistant in healthcare settings is desirable
Demonstrated office experience that showcases your ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
