Dental Technician

Hallmark is a Halifax based dental lab serving dental clinics and their patients in Atlantic Canada. We are looking to hire a Dental Technician to join our growing lab. Your duties will include fabrication of Essix retainers and other dental appliances related to essix materials. We require a candidate with good dexterity, the ability to work in a high paced environment, and strong ambition.

Dental Technician Responsibilities:

Vacuum form splint bases and essix retainers

Trim vacuum formed appliances

Add powder/liquid build up to splint bases

Add components (buttons/attachments) to splints and appliances

Blockouts of models for essix retainers

Communicate with support for essix hardware

Ensure the correct work is indicated on the work ticket

Dental Technician Requirements:

Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

Excellent attention to detail

Good dexterity

Ability to work in high paced environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience or education as a dental technician or assistant is an asset

Must work well in a team-based atmosphere

Must be able to confidently use a lathe and hand piece by the end of training
