Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Technician & Assistant to join our dental practice. This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with dental professionals in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental laboratory work and assisting in clinical procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care and precise dental restorations. Experience with CAD technology, laboratory procedures, and dental assisting is highly valued. This role provides comprehensive training and growth opportunities within our practice.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during patient procedures, including preparing and sterilizing instruments and materials
Fabricate dental prosthetics, crowns, bridges, and other restorations using laboratory equipment and CAD software
Manage and operate CAD systems for designing dental appliances
Maintain accurate patient records and laboratory documentation
Ensure all clinical areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Provide support in the laboratory by mixing materials, pouring impressions, and finishing restorations
Educate patients on post-procedure care and answer their questions regarding dental appliances
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient service
Qualifications
Prior experience in a dental office setting or laboratory environment is preferred
Proficiency with CAD software used for designing dental restorations
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Laboratory experience related to dental prosthetics fabrication is highly desirable
Strong understanding of dental assisting procedures and protocols
Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise work
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a clinical setting
Certification or training in dental assisting is a plus but not mandatory
