We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our vibrant dental team! Duties
Coordinate patient appointments, treatment plans, and follow-up care to optimize clinic workflow and patient satisfaction
Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility using systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and other EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems
Review and process medical documentation, including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding to ensure accurate billing and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Manage medical billing and collections efficiently while maintaining detailed records of transactions using software such as eClinicalWorks or similar platforms
Assist patients with intake procedures, explaining treatment options, financial responsibilities, and care plans clearly and compassionately
Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism while providing excellent customer service; answer inquiries regarding insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and treatment procedures
Maintain accurate dental records and medical files; ensure all documentation review aligns with health information management standards
Support front desk operations including filing, data entry, typing (including 10-key), and office management tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly
Qualifications
Proven experience in dental office administration or clinic support roles with familiarity in dental terminology and medical administrative processes
Strong computer skills with proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms; experience with Microsoft Office Suite is essential
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations along with CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding for accurate documentation review and medical billing
Excellent patient service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities; bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply
Previous experience in insurance verification, medical coding (ICD-10), intake procedures, and office management is preferred
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with dental terminology and clinic experience enhances your fit for this role
