Job Description
Georgetown Family Dental is looking for a confident, organized, and patient-focused Treatment Coordinator to join our team in Savannah, Georgia.
In this important role, you will help patients understand their recommended dental care, navigate financial and insurance considerations, and confidently move forward with treatment. You will work closely with the doctor, clinical team, and front office to create a seamless experience from treatment presentation through scheduling and follow-up.
This position is ideal for someone who combines strong communication and customer service skills with an understanding of dental treatment, scheduling, insurance, and patient financial conversations.

Responsibilities
Meet with patients to review recommended treatment and next steps
Clearly explain treatment plans, scheduling requirements, estimated patient portions, and available financial arrangements
Help patients understand insurance benefits as they relate to proposed treatment
Coordinate treatment appointments and help maintain an organized, productive schedule
Follow up with patients who have unscheduled or incomplete treatment
Support treatment acceptance through clear, compassionate, and patient-centered communication
Work closely with doctors and clinical team members to ensure treatment recommendations are accurately communicated
Assist with insurance verification and coordination when needed
Discuss payment expectations and available financial options professionally and respectfully
Maintain accurate documentation of treatment discussions, follow-up activity, and patient decisions
Assist with appointment confirmations, recall, patient communication, and scheduling needs
Monitor outstanding treatment opportunities and proactively follow up with patients
Protect confidential patient information and follow HIPAA requirements and office policies
Support front-office operations and the leadership team as needed
Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience as a dental treatment coordinator, patient coordinator, dental front-office team member, or similar role is preferred
Strong understanding of dental treatment scheduling and patient communication
Experience discussing insurance benefits and patient financial responsibilities is preferred
Comfortable having professional conversations about treatment costs and payment arrangements
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow up consistently and manage multiple patient needs throughout the day
Comfortable working closely with doctors, clinical staff, and front-office team members
Professional, dependable, and confident in a fast-paced dental environment
