Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a private dental office. This role requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with dental terminology, and proficiency in medical billing and insurance verification. Willing to train right candidate with room for advancement to manager. Having a TC experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
Must know Dentrix or similar.
HMO, PPO and some Denti-Cal preferred.
Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar efficiently.
Verify patient insurance information and handle insurance claims processing.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing them to appropriate staff members.
Utilize dental office software, such as Epic, for patient management and record keeping.
Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks as needed.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
Experience
Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is highly desirable.
Experience with insurance verification processes and medical billing practices is a plus.
Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly Epic, is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential.
