Duties
Act as the main point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in-person communication
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using patient management software (Open Dental)
Explain treatment plans, insurance coverage, and financial options clearly to patients to facilitate informed decision-making
Collect and verify patient information, including medical history, insurance details, and consent forms, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Coordinate with dental providers to ensure timely delivery of treatments and follow-up care
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health regulation policies and insurance procedures to ensure compliance
Support administrative tasks such as data entry, typing reports, managing patient records, and handling billing inquiries
Qualifications
Prior experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator REQUIRED
Proficiency with Open Dental preferred
Strong understanding of health insurance policies and dental terminology
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse patients
Knowledge of health regulation policies related to patient privacy and confidentiality (e.g., HIPAA compliance)
Effective phone communication skills combined with professional client interaction abilities
Strong organizational skills including typing speed and attention to detail for record keeping
