Job Description
Dental Treatment Coordinator
Pay: $24.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, four-day workweek
Location: Prairie Village, Kansas — in person

We are looking for an experienced Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our close-knit team at a privately owned, single-doctor dental practice in Prairie Village.
Our practice is known for excellent patient care, strong patient relationships, and a friendly, supportive work environment. We are seeking someone who is confident, organized, dependable, and genuinely enjoys helping patients understand and move forward with their dental care.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dental professional who wants to play an important role in both the patient experience and the continued success of a growing practice—with Fridays and weekends off.
What You’ll Do
As our Dental Treatment Coordinator, you will guide patients through the treatment process, from presenting recommended care through scheduling and financial arrangements. You will help patients understand their options, feel comfortable with their decisions, and experience a smooth transition from diagnosis to treatment.
Responsibilities include:
Presenting dental treatment plans clearly and compassionately
Discussing treatment costs, insurance estimates, and financial arrangements
Scheduling treatment and follow-up appointments
Greeting and checking in patients
Verifying dental insurance eligibility and benefits
Submitting, tracking, and following up on insurance claims
Collecting co-pays and outstanding patient balances
Maintaining accurate patient information in Dentrix
Communicating with patients by phone, text, and email
Following up with patients regarding unscheduled treatment
Supporting the front-office team and helping maintain an organized, welcoming practice
What We’re Looking For
Required:
At least two years of experience in a dental administrative or front-office role, such as Treatment Coordinator, Patient Care Coordinator, Insurance Coordinator, or Dental Receptionist
Experience discussing dental treatment, insurance benefits, and patient financial responsibilities
Familiarity with dental insurance plans and claims
Knowledge of dental terminology and CDT codes
Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
Professional, compassionate, and confident communication with patients
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team
Strongly Preferred:
Experience with Dentrix or comparable dental practice-management software
Previous treatment-plan presentation or case-acceptance experience
Schedule:
Monday–Wednesday: 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Thursday: 6:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Fridays and weekends off
