Dental Treatment Plan Coordinator

River Rock Dental is a growing, patient-focused dental practice committed to making every patient feel heard, informed, and cared for. We are looking for an experienced Dental Treatment Plan Coordinator who enjoys connecting with patients, explaining treatment, and helping turn recommended care into scheduled appointments.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident discussing dental treatment and finances, understands the importance of follow-through, and genuinely enjoys helping people. You’ll work closely with our doctors, clinical team, and front office staff to make the patient journey as smooth and positive as possible.

What You’ll Do
Meet with patients to review and present recommended treatment plans
Explain treatment options, sequencing, procedures, and anticipated outcomes in an easy-to-understand manner
Help patients understand estimated fees, insurance benefits, financing, and payment options
Discuss treatment confidently while maintaining a compassionate, patient-first approach
Coordinate and schedule treatment appointments, consultations, and follow-up visits
Follow up with patients who have unscheduled or incomplete treatment
Track treatment acceptance and help identify opportunities to improve case scheduling
Verify insurance benefits and communicate coverage and estimated patient portions
Answer patient questions by phone and in person
Assist with front office responsibilities, including phones, check-in/check-out, and administrative tasks
Maintain accurate patient information and treatment records in Open Dental
Partner with the clinical team to ensure patients receive consistent and accurate information
Contribute to a welcoming, organized, and professional office environment
What We’re Looking For
Required:
At least 2 years of experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator
Strong understanding of dental treatment plans and case presentation
Comfortable discussing treatment costs, insurance, and financial options
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to confidently guide patients through decisions while remaining empathetic and non-pressure-oriented
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy dental office
Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
A Plus:
Experience using Open Dental
Spanish/English bilingual skills
Experience with treatment acceptance and case follow-up
Strong background in dental insurance and benefit verification
Experience improving treatment scheduling and case acceptance
