About the Role:
Powell Dental Group is looking for an organized, outgoing, motivated, people-loving, patient-focused Dental Treatment Plan Coordinator to join our growing team!
In this key role, you’ll be the bridge between our clinical team and our patients—helping people understand their treatment, feel confident in their options, and take the next step toward the care they need.
Do you love helping patients understand dental treatment without making it sound like they need a dental degree to follow along?
Are you comfortable talking about scheduling, insurance, and finances while still keeping the conversation warm and patient-focused?
If you’re passionate about creating a great patient experience and thrive in a busy, fast-paced dental office, we’d love to meet you!
What You’ll Be Doing
Present and explain treatment plans in a clear, compassionate, and confident way
Help patients understand recommended treatment and answer their questions
Coordinate treatment appointments and keep schedules moving efficiently
Verify dental insurance benefits and help patients understand and maximize their coverage
Review patient portions, payment options, payment plans, and third-party financing
Follow up with patients who have unscheduled treatment and help them get back on the schedule
Work closely with our dentists and clinical team to make sure treatment plans and documentation are accurate and current
Maintain detailed notes regarding treatment status, patient communication, and financial arrangements
Keep track of treatment plans from presentation to completion—because we love a good follow-through!
Assist with other dental front-office and administrative responsibilities as needed
Treatment planning and coordination will be the primary focus and responsibility of this position; however, we work as a team, so
additional front desk and dental administrative duties will also be part of the role when needed.
Requirements:
You Might Be a Great Fit If You...
Have previous dental office experience, especially in treatment coordination, scheduling, insurance, or front desk responsibilities
Have a strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance
Are confident, friendly, and comfortable discussing financial arrangements
Know how to handle questions or objections professionally and empathetically
Have experience with dental practice management software (we use Eaglesoft)
Are highly organized and detail-oriented
Follow through without needing to be reminded 17 times
Enjoy working with people and building relationships with patients
Are positive, dependable, motivated, and team-oriented
Can juggle multiple priorities while still keeping a smile on your face
About Us:
Powell Dental Group is proud to serve the Powell community with comprehensive, high-quality dental care in a warm and welcoming environment.
We believe dentistry should feel personal—not corporate. Our goal is to make every patient feel heard, comfortable, informed, and cared for.
We’re looking for someone who wants to be more than just another person behind the front desk. This position plays an important role in helping
our patients understand their care, overcome obstacles, and ultimately get the treatment they need.
If you love dentistry, love people, and get a little too excited when a big treatment plan finally gets scheduled... you may be exactly who we’re looking for!
We’d love to hear from you! Send us your resume and tell us a little about yourself.
