Job Description
The Community Health Centers of Burlington is hiring a Dental Triage Scheduling Assistant to join the team at our South End location!
Under general supervision of the Dental Practice Manager this individual is responsible for the organization, management, and scheduling of dental patient services. The Dental Triage Scheduling Assistant shall be responsible for the overall activities of the dental schedule. They will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of all CHCB policies and clinical protocol. They must carry out assigned departmental tasks related to dental patient care appointments.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED
Knowledge of dental office procedures preferred but not required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Effective oral and written communication skills are required
Ability to attend to multiple tasks at the same time and to prioritize assignments and responsibilities to ensure compliance with established deadlines and protocols
Ability to triage patients to assess their dental needs
Ability to obtain a comprehensive knowledge of dental clinical protocols and daily operations of scheduling, treatment plans, recare, and emergent care appointments.
Cognizant of the expectations and concerns of the Health Center's dental patient's and be able to respond in an empathetic manner
Knowledge of dental software is helpful but not required
