Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations and medical history reviews, to develop personalized treatment plans.
Deliver a wide range of dental services such as general dentistry procedures, dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
Utilize dental terminology accurately to explain diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients.
Conduct oral surgery procedures with precision, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Use dental imaging technology effectively for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient care efficiency.
Manage medical records diligently, ensuring accurate recordkeeping for all treatments performed.
Stay current with advancements in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry to provide the highest standard of care.
Uphold infection control standards and maintain a sterile environment during all procedures.
Experience
Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office setting is required.
Prior experience with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics (including root canal therapy), and prosthodontics is essential.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques.
Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance is necessary.
Experience performing dental extractions and other surgical procedures is highly desirable.
