Job Overview
T-Town Smiles is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dentist to join our not-for-profit safety net dental practice. This role involves providing comprehensive dental care to children and adults living at or below 300% of the federal poverty level or receiving dental benefits through Medicaid. The Dentist will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered dental services within a supportive community environment.
Responsibilities
Perform general dentistry procedures, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
Provide patient care across various dental disciplines such as endodontics, pediatric dentistry, prosthedontics and dental extractions.
Conduct thorough dental diagnoses to identify issues and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and promote oral health education.
Deliver dental treatments with attention to safety, comfort, and clinical excellence.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and positive patient experiences.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
Valid Ohio license to practice dentistry.
Proven experience in general dentistry; additional expertise in endodontics, prosthedontics or pediatric dentistry is preferred.
Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency in performing dental procedures such as extractions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse patient populations.
Compassionate approach to patient care, especially for underserved communities.

T-Town Smiles is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dental clinic serving children, families, and underserved individuals in Toledo, Ohio. Founded in 2025 by longtime community-health leaders Connie Wojcik and Melinda Cree, the practice provides compassionate, comprehensive care with a focus on Medicaid patients and families with limited incomes. Its child-friendly team also supports the community through oral-health outreach, education, advocacy, and dental workforce development.
