Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of dental procedures including general dentistry, dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and implant placement.
Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to develop accurate diagnoses.
Utilize advanced dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix to document medical records, treatment plans, and progress notes while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Communicate clearly with patients about diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, and post-treatment care to foster understanding and trust.
Collaborate with dental assistants in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
Stay updated on state healthcare regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and high-quality care delivery.
Requirements
Valid state dental license with current certification to practice dentistry.
Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental diagnosis and treatment planning.
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and implant procedures is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control standards, and healthcare diagnosis processes.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs.
Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other complex procedures while adhering to aseptic techniques.
Commitment to maintaining medical documentation accuracy in accordance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
