Job Description
Job Summary
The Dentist provides comprehensive, patient-centered dental care within an ambulatory care setting, supporting Hamilton Health Center’s mission to deliver accessible, high-quality services to the community. This role is responsible for diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical care delivery while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure continuity and excellence in patient outcomes.

Essential Functions
Clinical Care & Patient Management
Perform comprehensive dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
Provide preventive, restorative, and basic surgical procedures within scope
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Educate patients on oral health, treatment plans, and preventive care
Care Coordination & Team Collaboration
Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and care team members
Refer patients to specialists as appropriate
Support continuity of care across departments
Compliance & Quality Standards
Adhere to infection control standards (ADA, OSHA, CDC guidelines)
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited program
Current or eligible Pennsylvania dental license
Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
CPR certification
Eligible for credentialing and participation with payer programs
FTCA eligibility
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a community health or FQHC setting
Experience serving diverse and underserved populations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
