Job Description
Position: Dentist
Facility: PrairieStar
PrairieStar Health Center, a PCMH Level III facility, is seeking a dentist. Join our
team of providers who have won multiple national awards, including ten Gold
Level Quality Leader Awards, Million Hearts and nine National Quality Leader
Awards.
Position Highlights
Choice of a four or five-day work week.
Steady patient flow.
Up to date technology.
Resources to help achieve work/life balance and high-quality care for patients: IT and quality support staff, wet lab, integrated EHR and integrated behavioral health model.
Position Responsibilities
Performing exams and evaluating X-rays to determine a patient’s health.
Developing treatment plans to deal with dental health issues.
Filling cavities, performing root canals, applying crowns and installing bridges.
Administering or prescribing medications to decrease pain and improve patient health.
Interacting with patients and instructing them on proper oral care.
Measuring and fitting dental appliances.
Completing charting in a timely manner and maintaining accurate patient records.
Obtaining and maintaining all certification requirements related to the position.
Maintaining the required number of continuing education hours for national accreditation.
Qualifications
DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
Active Kansas dental license or eligibility to obtain licensure upon graduation.
Active CPR Certification and DEA License (or in the process of obtaining).
Controlled Substance License (if required by the state).
Attention to detail and ability to handle a diverse workload.
Ability to multi-task and complete tasks correctly and on time.
Must be mission driven – passionate about improving lives through quality care for all.
