Job Description
Dentist I
Daily Base Range: $750–$850/day
Starting Base: $750/day for new graduates
Minimum Requirement: Current California Dental License, Active and Current with no Faults
Production Benchmark: Average Daily Production of approximately $2,500–$3,500/day
Promotion Benchmark: Sustained Average Daily Production of $3,500+/day over the prior 6 months, together with demonstrated clinical competency, quality of care, documentation, patient experience, and adherence to Company standards.
Diagnose, treatment plan, and provide high-quality general dentistry within the Dentist’s training, competency, and permitted scope.
Perform comprehensive and limited exams, restorative dentistry, crowns, bridges, basic extractions, emergency care, and other appropriate procedures.
Develop complete, clinically appropriate treatment plans and clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, risks, benefits, and alternatives to patients.
Partner with the front-office team to support treatment acceptance, appropriate scheduling, and continuity of care while maintaining independent clinical judgment.
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical notes, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and other required documentation in Open Dental.
Review radiographs and other diagnostic records and ensure appropriate documentation and follow-up.
Work efficiently with dental assistants and hygienists to maintain productive schedules, strong patient flow, and a positive patient experience.
Appropriately identify cases requiring specialty care, consultation, or referral and coordinate care when needed.
Participate in clinical coaching, continuing education, case review, and mentorship to expand clinical skills and procedure mix.
Maintain all required licenses, certifications, infection-control standards, HIPAA requirements, and Company clinical policies.
