Job Title: Dentist (MN)

Position Summary:

LAUKOA is currently seeking applicants for Exam and Treatment Dentist positions located throughout the state of Minnesota in support of medical readiness services for the Minnesota Army National Guard (MNARNG). Exams and treatment will be performed in mobile and portable settings at the client’s location of choice throughout Minnesota. Work is primarily on weekends, with occasional work on weekdays, and all work is performed on a part-time, "as needed" basis. Providers will support Soldier dental readiness and deployability requirements through treatment planning, digital radiograph review, readiness documentation, and use of the military dental readiness classifications. LAUKOA provides dental and health readiness services to help maintain a deployable military force for the MNARNG.

Locations: Various throughout Minnesota

Must Reside in Minnesota

Hourly Wage: $105-$120 based on event role

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete examinations/screenings and ensure accurate charting on military forms

Complete comprehensive dental treatment to include restorative, endodontic, and/or oral surgery procedures in a non-traditional setting.

Strong endodontic skills to include molar RCTs

Strong OS skills to include 3rd molar extractions

Document findings/completed treatments on military forms and properly classify soldiers

Work collaboratively with event team

Safeguard all soldiers’ information

Ensures all actions comply with HIPAA and other appropriate federal/state laws and regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:

Active Minnesota dental license, with no restrictions

A current and active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number is preferred

CPR/BLS certification

Professional liability/malpractice insurance policy

Have a valid US driver’s license

Ability to work in mobile, portable, and field-based dental treatment environments.

Basic computer knowledge and skills

Utilization of universal precautions for patient care

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly

Experience working in a military setting and working knowledge of the regulations and policies that apply to Dental Readiness Classification (DRC) is preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Occasionally required to stand, walk, and bend

Continually required to sit

Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity

Continually required to talk and hear
