Job Description
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position provides vital dental services to inmates at SCI Smithfield and supports their overall health needs. As a Dentist, you will perform the following duties:
Clinical Care: Deliver routine dental treatments and preventive services
Patient Evaluation: Assess oral health conditions and recommend appropriate care
Team Collaboration: Work alongside trained auxiliary staff to support patient needs
Record Management: Maintain accurate documentation of dental evaluations and procedures
Professional Standards: Follow clinical guidelines and uphold ethical dental practices

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Part-time employment, up to 30 hours per week
The work schedule is to be determined. You will not be required to work weekends.
Eligible for full retirement benefits as early as age 55
Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Hourly rate: In some cases, the hourly rate may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $84.94 (before taxes).
