About Correctional Healthcare Partners
Correctional Healthcare Partners (CHP Health) is a company dedicated to providing healthcare services to the incarcerated, and we're growing. We exist because the people inside county jails still deserve real healthcare — and the counties that serve them deserve a partner who shows up, owns the outcome, and gets the work right. We deliver medical, mental health, and dental care across jails and detention facilities in California and Washington, and we do it with clinicians who chose this setting and a leadership team that supports the mission.
Correctional Healthcare Partners is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dentist to join our team at Whatcom County Corrections on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who values meaningful patient care, autonomy in practice, and serving an underserved population in a collaborative correctional healthcare environment.
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Health Services Administrator (HSA), on-site Medical Director, and CMD/CMO, the Dentist is responsible for providing comprehensive dental services while ensuring compliance with NCCHC, ACA, and community standards. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, adaptable, and committed to delivering quality care in a correctional setting.
Location: Whatcom County Jail
Schedule: 24 Hours Per Week
Pay Rate: $110/hour
Requirements
Current, unrestricted Dentist license in the State of Washington
Current DEA registration
Current CPR certification
Minimum 2–3 years of dental practice experience
Administrative or leadership experience preferred
Correctional healthcare experience preferred, but not required
Strong communication and computer skills
Responsibilities
Provide routine and urgent dental care services
Perform assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with medical and custody staff to support patient care
Ensure compliance with all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards
Support quality improvement initiatives and dental program operations
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to:
Stand and walk for extended periods
Lift up to 25 pounds
Assist patients as needed
Work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Maintain professionalism under pressure
Why Join Correctional Healthcare Partners?
Competitive compensation at $110/hour
Meaningful work serving underserved populations
Supportive interdisciplinary team environment
Consistent schedule with work-life balance
Opportunity to make a direct impact in community health
