Locum General Dentist Opportunities – Metro Detroit, MI
Smile Jobs is actively seeking Locum Associate Dentists to provide temporary clinical coverage across a network of well-established, doctor-led dental practices throughout Metro Detroit.
Whether you're looking to supplement your current schedule, transition between permanent opportunities, or enjoy the flexibility of locum dentistry, we'd love to connect. We have immediate openings with schedules ranging from single-day coverage to recurring weekly assignments based on the needs of each practice.
Immediate start available
Flexible scheduling based on your availability
Opportunities ranging from 1–5 days per week
Practice in multiple higher-end PPO and select fee-for-service offices
Modern, fully digital practices featuring advanced technology
Established patient bases with strong community reputations
Experienced clinical and administrative support teams
Opportunity to explore different practice settings before committing to a permanent position

Smile Jobs is the exclusive recruiting partner for practices within the Smile Partners USA network, representing 125+ doctor-led dental offices across multiple states. Our Metro Detroit practices are known for:
Higher-end PPO and select fee-for-service patient populations
Loyal, long-standing patient bases
Modern technology, including digital scanners, CBCT, same-day dentistry, and digital workflows (varies by location)
Collaborative, patient-centered cultures
Strong clinical autonomy and support
Who We're Looking For
DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
Active Michigan dental license (or eligibility to obtain)
3+ years of experience preferred, but we are happy to speak with dentists of all experience levels
Comfortable providing comprehensive general dentistry
Excellent communication skills and a patient-first approach
Reliable, adaptable, and interested in working across multiple locations as needed
