Are you looking to give back to your community? The DuPage County Health Department, in Wheaton, is looking for a Dentist to work in an on-call role, working no more than 1000 hours per fiscal year. We offer flexibility for you to provide us with the hours you are available to help our community members. The dental services shall be performed in different settings such as, the Dental Clinic, the Smile Squad Mobile Dental Clinic or the Dental Sealant Program. Services are provided to children, adolescent, and adults.

Responsibilities
Performs dental examinations
Completes dental procedures including, but not limited to, treatment of infection, procedures needed to assist client with a tooth presenting pain, fracture with pain, severe tooth destruction, nerve involvement, bleeding, facial swelling, fever, avulsion and treatment of pathology that caused problem
Becomes familiar with Urgent Care Clinic, Smile Squad Mobile Dental Clinic and Dental Sealant Program policies and procedures.
Supports the Health Department mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy
Demonstrates understanding, respect and compassion of other ethnic groups and cultures
Maintains confidentiality of privileged information and adheres to patient privacy laws
Maintains required training, licensure, and/or certification
Requirements
Completion of a professional degree in Dentistry, and two years of experience as a Dentist; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
This position requires an active State of Illinois Dentist license and an active State of Illinois Dentist Controlled Substance license.
