Dermatology Office Receptionist

Prairie Dermatology, a newer dermatology practice that opened in November 2022, is seeking a full or part-time medical receptionist to join our team. We aim to provide high level medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services to the community.

Roles and responsibilities
Welcome patients and visitors
Complete patient check in, obtaining necessary insurance and demographic information, collecting all necessary forms and signatures, and performing insurance verification
Complete patient check out, collecting necessary payments and scheduling follow up appointments
Assist in coordinating care and appointments with outside providers -Answer telephone calls to provide clinic information, schedule and confirm appointments, or direct calls to clinical staff
Train new employees as needed
Ensure clean reception and other work areas and maintain inventory of appropriate supplies
Complete all tasks in a compliance with government regulations (CLIA, OSHA, HIPPA, etc)
Performs other duties as assigned
Experience, skills, and qualifications
Required
High school diploma or GED
Verbal and written communication skills compatible with medical office environment
Ability and willingness to learn various components of dermatology practice
Preferred but not required
Experience in dermatology or outpatient medicine
BLS certification
EMR experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
