Job Description
We are in search of a Full Time Director of Health Care Services/Director of Nursing to lead, energize and support our amazing team of caregivers and our residents. The Director of Health Care Services (DHCS) plays a critical role in providing superior customer service and nursing services to all residents in the facility. The DHCS is responsible for the planning, development and overall operation of the Nursing and clinical Departments which ensures residents receive quality care 24 hours a day.
The purpose of this position is to provide management of Health Care Services, set resident care standards for all direct care providers and provide complete supervision and management for Clinical Services.
Wage Information:
$105,000-$115,000 annually (based on expierience)
Including $0.85/hour employer paid supplemental pay approved through 09.30.26
Additional $3.40/hour when working as a floor nurse
Essential Functions of a Director of Health Care Services:
Assess, direct, and supervise resident care needs.
Supervise and manage all aspects of clinical services.
Serve as facility abuse officer and work collaboratively with the Administrator on investigations.
Lead and manage clinical staff.
Lead clinical staff quality assurance performance measures to improve quality.
Lead clinical services utilization team.
Maintain the comfort, privacy and dignity of our residents and interact with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment.
Requirements for a Director of Health Care Services:
Be a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Michigan in good standing with no licensing concerns.
Have previous experience working in a long-term care facility.
Have strong written and communication skills.
Have a passion for supporting the nursing needs of the aged and chronically ill.
Be CPR certified.
Understand Medicare guidelines.
Previous experience as a Director of Nursing preferred, but not required.
Have demonstrated analytical skills and professional interpersonal & leadership skills.
