Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Endodontic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will support endodontic procedures—specialized root canal treatments—by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control. Your expertise will help deliver efficient, high-quality care while fostering a positive patient experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with experienced endodontists and expand your skills within a collaborative dental environment committed to excellence. This position is only for Monday's in our Marysville office location unless this applicant would be interested in a multi office location (Marysville and Bellevue) position of which would result in more hours and compensation.

Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms with all necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for endodontic procedures, ensuring a sterile environment through proper aseptic technique.

Assist the endodontist during root canal treatments by managing dental instruments, suctioning, and providing necessary materials promptly.

Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays and medical imaging to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning, adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.

Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, accurately documenting procedures, patient information, and medical history.

Educate patients on post-treatment care instructions and answer questions related to endodontic procedures in a clear and supportive manner.

Maintain infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments, disinfecting treatment areas, and following OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe clinical environment.

Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, updating patient records, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed.

Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist with other general dentistry or pediatric dentistry procedures to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Skills
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with a strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to endodontics.

Experience working with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Epic or similar medical documentation platforms is a plus.

Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.

Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members—including dental receptionists—and educate patients about procedures and care instructions.

Familiarity with HIPAA regulations related to medical records management and patient confidentiality.

Experience in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn specialized endodontic procedures is essential.

Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting. Join our team as an Endodontic Dental Assistant where your skills will directly impact patient health and comfort! We are committed to supporting your professional growth through ongoing training in areas like medical coding, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and advanced imaging technology—all within a vibrant work environment that values your dedication and expertise.
