Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic Endodontic Dental Assistant to join our specialty endodontic practice. Our practice is undergoing new ownership, so the clinical pace will be slowly increased over the coming months and new technology will be added. This is a unique opportunity to share your insights and expertise with the team. In this role, you will support both administrative and clinical duties including non-surgical, surgical, and sedation endodontic procedures. Some dental experience is desired, but training is offered as necessary. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional passionate about specialized dental care and eager to grow within a collaborative and dynamic team.
Duties
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, following standard aseptic techniques.
Perform patient check-in including history taking and imaging (digital intraoral and 3D CBCT radiographs).
Assist the endodontist chairside during procedures.
Monitor patient vital signs during sedation procedures.
Draft treatment notes for review by the doctor.
Educate patients including informed consent and post-operative instructions.
Rotate through front desk duties, including telephone reception, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and financial collections.
Maintain infection control protocols rigorously, including sterilization of instruments and proper disposal of biohazard materials.
Experience/Training
Preferred: Michigan X-ray certification
Preferred: BLS certification
Preferred: RDA certification
Preferred: Any experience in private practice settings.
Preferred: Any experience with sedation procedures.
Training is provided as needed.
