Entry Level Dental assistant (pediatric)/sterilization support

Responsibilities
Assist with chairside procedures by preparing dental instruments, materials, and patient records to ensure smooth clinical operations.

Support sterilization protocols by processing and disinfecting dental instruments following strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.

Manage dental sterilization procedures, including cleaning, sterilizing, and organizing dental tools in compliance with infection control policies.

Help with patient intake by recording vital signs, medical history, and updating medical documentation within Open dental
Assist with radiographic procedures by taking dental x-rays and supporting medical imaging processes while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.

Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, ensuring all dental instruments are properly processed for safe reuse.

Experience
Previous experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge is advantageous.

Basic understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and infection control practices is highly desirable.

Knowledge of pediatric dentistry procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics (root canals), prosthodontics (restorative dentistry), and general dentistry is a plus.

Experience with digital imaging equipment like 3D scanners or dental x-ray machines will be beneficial.

Ability to learn and operate dental software.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and interact compassionately with young patients and their families.
