We are looking for an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant, where your expertise will elevate patient care and streamline clinical operations. Duties
Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and confidence
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans, ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA and infection prevention policies
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, processing dental equipment, and maintaining aseptic techniques according to infection control standards
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, dental procedures, and medical coding
Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations
Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency during procedures
Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with proficiency in dental assisting procedures across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment operation, and sterilization procedures
Skilled in the use of dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Patient management software like Epic for documentation and scheduling
Certified in dental radiography (X-ray) techniques with experience in medical imaging including 3D scanner use preferred
Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention and control practices including aseptic technique and infection prevention management
Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while adhering to sterilization protocols
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members such as dental receptionists and healthcare providers
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy at all times

Pay: $24.00 - $31.00 per hour
