Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA)

An Ohio Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) is a certified dental assistant (CDA), certified Ohio dental assistant (CODA), or licensed dental hygienist who performs advanced dental procedures. Their responsibilities include:
Restorative dentistry: Placing sealants and fillings, and other restorative materials
Patient care: Helping patients feel comfortable, taking blood pressure, and providing follow-up care instructions
Dental procedures: Assisting dentists with procedures like fillings, and taking and processing x-rays
Work environment: Sterilizing equipment to maintain a clean and safe work environment
Communication: Communicating with patients and front desk staff
Patient rapport: Building rapport with patients and educating them
EFDAs must demonstrate ethical judgment, adhere to legal regulations, and manage patient care. They should also have a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and be able to multi-task.

Monday: 9-5
Tuesday: 9-5
Wednesday: 9-4
Thursday: 9-5
Friday: 9-4
Saturday: 8:30 - 1

Pay: $37.00 - $42.00 per hour
