Duties
Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorations, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.

Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following strict aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards.

Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) and operate advanced medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners to support accurate diagnoses.

Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic to ensure precise documentation of patient information, medical history, and treatment plans.

Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures; communicate medical terminology clearly to patients for better understanding.

Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow seamlessly.

Maintain comprehensive medical documentation, including medical coding and records, ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times.

Assist with infection control protocols and ensure the dental clinic adheres to all safety regulations related to anatomy knowledge and aseptic techniques.

Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with proficiency in chairside assisting across general dentistry procedures.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control practices, and anatomy relevant to dentistry.

Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic or similar platforms; experience with X-ray equipment and 3D scanners is highly desirable.

Ability to perform vital signs assessment and operate medical imaging devices confidently.

Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.

Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and other clinical staff.

Certification in dental assisting or equivalent; additional certifications in endodontics or prosthodontics are advantageous.
