We are seeking a motivated and skilled Expanded Duties Dental Assistant ( EDDA) to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting with various dental procedures, managing clinical tasks, and supporting the overall efficiency of our practice. This position offers an exciting opportunity for dental professionals eager to expand their skills and grow within a supportive setting. Responsibilities
Assist dentist during a wide range of procedures, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments
Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow and patient comfort
Take digital X-ray images, scans, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed
Manage medical documentation and records while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
Conduct vital signs assessments and medical imaging as needed to support diagnosis and treatment planning
Utilize Dentrix for accurate documentation of patient information and treatment notes
Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures
Skills
Proficiency in dental assisting procedures with a focus on expanded functions roles like placing fillings and making temporary's
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Experience with dental software platform Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and medical coding
Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques in a clinical setting
Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively
Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or front desk assistant to coordinate patient flow and answer inquiries
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with children is a plus
Ability to perform vital signs assessment accurately and efficiently in a busy clinical environment

Pay: $25.10 - $30.23 per hour
