Full-Time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)

Luxia Dental is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) who wants to grow with us for the long term.
EFDA qualification and a minimum of 2 years of EFDA experience are REQUIRED.
We are looking for someone who is fully confident in their EFDA duties, reliable, motivated, professional, and ready to contribute from day one.

Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred. Cross-trained candidates are a plus.
SCHEDULE
Tuesday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Two alternating Saturdays per month
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform EFDA duties confidently and independently within your qualifications
Assist the doctor during dental procedures
Prepare and maintain operatories, instruments, and materials
Take X-rays and digital scans
Maintain smooth and efficient patient flow
Follow sterilization and infection-control protocols
Document treatment accurately
Track lab cases and upcoming procedures
Educate and support patients
Communicate effectively with the doctor, front desk, and clinical team
Assist the front office when needed, especially if cross-trained
SUPPLIES & ORGANIZATION
Monitor and restock dental and sterilization supplies
Notify management before supplies run low
Monitor expiration dates and maintain organized inventory
Keep operatories, sterilization, and supply areas clean and organized
Report equipment or supply concerns promptly
Supplies, sterilization, cleanliness, and organization are a team responsibility.
REQUIREMENTS
EFDA qualification REQUIRED
Minimum 2 years of EFDA experience REQUIRED
Must be fully confident and competent in EFDA duties
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Cross-trained front/back-office experience is a plus
Reliable, punctual, professional, and organized
Strong communication and teamwork
Comfortable in a fast-paced dental office
Available for two alternating Saturdays per month
