Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)
Williams Dental | Cincinnati, Ohio
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday | 6:35 AM – 3:30 PM
Williams Dental is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our family-oriented practice. Our ideal candidate is committed to providing exceptional patient care while creating a warm, comfortable, and positive experience for every patient. As a member of our Smile Makers team, you will work closely with Dr. Lindsey Williams to deliver high-quality restorative dentistry while helping maintain an efficient and enjoyable work environment.
Essential ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties
Place composite restorations and perform expanded functions within the scope of Ohio EFDA certification.
Assist the doctor during a variety of dental procedures.
Take digital radiographs and intraoral photographs.
Fabricate temporary crowns and bridges.
Perform coronal polishing and fluoride applications as permitted.
Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
Provide patient education regarding treatment and oral hygiene.
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
Ensure operatories are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Assist with same-day treatment and emergency patients as needed.
Patient Care
Welcome patients with kindness and professionalism.
Help patients feel comfortable and at ease throughout their visit.
Build trusting relationships with patients and their families.
Communicate treatment recommendations and post-operative instructions clearly and compassionately.
Deliver a five-star patient experience every day.
Team Responsibilities
Collaborate effectively with doctor, hygienists, and front office team members.
Contribute to a positive and supportive workplace culture.
Maintain a strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
Participate in team meetings and continuing education opportunities.
Support office goals and embrace continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Current Ohio EFDA Certification.
Current Radiology Certification.
CPR Certification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Experience with digital dentistry and dental software preferred.
Commitment to exceptional patient care and high clinical standards.
