Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)

Role Overview
Place direct restorations under doctor supervision
Assist doctors with restorative, cosmetic, implant, emergency, and general dental procedures
Maintain excellent clinical documentation and charting
Help provide a calm, comfortable, and reassuring patient experience
Take digital X-rays, intraoral scans, and clinical photos as needed
Support efficient doctor flow and same-day treatment opportunities
Maintain proper infection control and sterilization standards
Work closely with doctors, assistants, hygienists, and admin team members
Help uphold our office systems, communication standards, and patient-care values
Qualifications
Current Ohio EFDA certification
Dental assisting experience preferred
Strong restorative skills and attention to detail
Positive attitude and team-first mindset
Excellent communication with patients and coworkers
Dependable, organized, and willing to grow
Experience with digital scanning, implants, cosmetic dentistry, or sedation is a plus but not required
