Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Join Our Dental Team!
We are looking for a motivated, experienced, and patient-focused Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who takes pride in providing exceptional patient care, enjoys working as part of a collaborative dental team, and is confident assisting with restorative procedures.
As an EFDA, you’ll play an important role in keeping our practice running smoothly while helping create a positive experience for every patient.
What You’ll Do
Assist the dentist during examinations, treatment, and restorative procedures.
Record and update patient health histories and treatment plans.
Educate patients and provide clear post-operative care instructions.
Perform expanded restorative duties as assigned by the dentist.
Scan, design, and program CEREC crowns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment.
Follow all OSHA, infection-control, and patient-safety protocols.
Help support the team with the day-to-day flow of the practice.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience.
Current Vermont Dental Assistant certification or registration.
EFDA experience and/or expanded-function credentials preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
A positive, dependable, team-oriented attitude.
Compensation
Full-time position. Pay is negotiable and based on experience, skills, and credentialing.
