Job Description
EFDA – Assisted Hygiene | North Myrtle Beach, SC | Full-Time
We are seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our assisted hygiene team in a patient-focused dental practice.
What you’ll do:
Assist hygienists to support efficient, quality patient care
Take dental X-rays, impressions, and digital scans
Perform coronal polishing (required) and sealants (if certified)
Prepare and turn over operatories between patients
Sterilize instruments and support infection control protocols
Assist with charting and provide patient education
What we’re looking for:
2+ years dental assisting experience preferred
SC radiography certification required
Coronal polishing certification required
CPR certification required
EFDA/expanded functions experience strongly preferred
Team-oriented, organized, and patient-focused mindset
