Job Summary
As an EFDA at Westside Pediatric Dentistry, you'll play an important role in creating positive dental experiences for children while assisting our doctors in delivering exceptional care.
You'll work alongside an experienced team that is passionate about pediatric dentistry and committed to helping every child feel safe, comfortable, and confident during their visit.
Responsibilities
Perform EFDA duties in accordance with Ohio state regulations
Place restorations and assist with pediatric restorative procedures
Assist doctors during treatment and procedures
Take and process dental X-rays
Educate children and parents on oral hygiene and preventative care
Help create a calm and positive experience for children
Maintain accurate patient records
Follow sterilization and infection control protocols
Collaborate closely with doctors and fellow team members
Requirements
Active Ohio EFDA certification
Current Ohio dental assisting credentials as required by law
Pediatric dental experience preferred (but not required)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassion, patience, and a genuine love for working with children
CPR certification
