Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

We are seeking a skilled, experienced and compassionate Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will act as a vital bridge between traditional chairside dental assisting and filling placement. You will provide advanced chairside support to our dentists and perform complex restorative procedures. Chairside Assistance/Clinical Care: Provide precise and efficient chairside assistance during a variety of advanced clinical treatments, including endodontic, restorative, and surgical procedures. Place high quality composite restorations efficiently and independently.

Patient Care & Diagnostics: Take and develop diagnostic digital radiographs and 3D scans. Measure and record patient vital signs, and educate patients on pre- and post-operative care.

Clinical Operations: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize dental instruments, and maintain strict infection control and OSHA safety standards.

Chart Management: Accurately update patient medical histories, clinical charting, and treatment plans in practice management software. Know and own your schedule.

Qualifications & Requirements
Active and current EFDA Certification/License as required by the state.

Current CPR Certification.

Active Radiography License/Certification.

Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and dental anatomy.

Proficiency with dental management and charting software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental).

Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
