Mangino Dental is looking for a high-energy Expanded Duties/Functions Dental Assistant (EDDA/EFDA)) to join our outstanding team. We are seeking a positive, hard-working expanded functions dental assistant who is detail oriented with excellent communication skills. Must have 2-5 years of experience (5 or more is preferred) and be expanded function certified. Our team is committed to excellence in all aspects of patient care and dentistry.

Duties include:
Placing composite fillings
Tooth morphology
Cavity preparations
Properties of amalgam removal
Esthetic restorative materials and procedures
Placement of bases and liners
Etching
Bonding
Crown and Bridge Impressions
Temporary Crown Fabrication and Cementation
Extractions
Implant placement
Orthodontics

Experience:
Expanded function dental assisting: 2 years (Preferred)

Skills
Experiencing placing composite fillings
Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for seamless record management
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry and specialized fields such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; familiarity with medical imaging equipment including 3D scanners
Excellent understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical coding for accurate billing and documentation
Skilled in handling dental assisting tasks such as vital signs measurement, four-handed dentistry techniques, and maintaining a sterile environment
Knowledge of dental clinic operations including reception duties, appointment scheduling, and patient communication
