Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency and patient comfort.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
Manage medical documentation and records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Conduct vital signs assessments and medical imaging when necessary to support comprehensive patient care.
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, safe environment following infection control protocols.
Support front desk operations by managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and assisting with dental receptionist duties as needed.
Utilize 3D scanners for prosthodontic procedures and assist with other advanced dental technologies to enhance treatment outcomes. Header
Skills
Proficiency in EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and pediatric dentistry practices.
Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and aseptic procedures.
Familiarity with infection control standards and sterilization processes within a dental clinic environment.
Ability to perform vital signs assessment and handle medical coding for insurance or record purposes.
Knowledge of endodontics, prosthodontics, general dentistry procedures, and pediatrics is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other staff members.
