Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Park Smiles Dentistry is looking for an experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team!

What You’ll Do
Assist the doctor during a variety of restorative and dental procedures
Perform expanded functions within your scope of practice
Take digital x-rays and intraoral photographs
Take impressions, scans, and assist with lab procedures as needed
Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for procedures
Maintain excellent infection control and sterilization standards
Provide patients with a warm, comfortable, and positive experience
Communicate clearly with patients and team members
Keep operatories stocked, organized, and ready for the day
Assist with maintaining an efficient clinical schedule
Support the doctor and hygiene team as needed
Follow practice protocols while maintaining a high standard of patient care
What We’re Looking For
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification/credentials as applicable
Previous dental assisting experience
Strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures
Comfortable working independently while also being a team player
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
Someone who takes initiative and sees what needs to be done
A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
Someone who genuinely enjoys working with patients and being part of a team
